Children must be symptom free from the following illnesses without medication for 24 hours before entering the classroom.

• Fever of 100 degrees or higher (or 99 degrees on the forehead)

• Persistent Cough/ Difficulty Breathing

• Vomiting or diarrhea

• Pink Eye or other eye infection

• Rash

• Nasal drainage which is green or yellow

• Sore throat

• Headache

• Open sores

• Common Cold/Congestion

• Lice

If children are not feeling well or any of these symptoms arise during their time in Northwood Kids, parents will be texted to pick up their children.

Children with food allergies should obtain an allergy alert sticker at check-in and staff should be notified of any allergies.

Each parent and child will receive corresponding security stickers. You must have your portion of the sticker in order to pick up your child.

In the event the Children’s Ministry team needs to contact you during the service, you will receive a text message alert.

Parents are asked to notify the Children’s Ministry team of any special needs their child might have, including allergies and/or potty training.

Only approved volunteers are allowed in hallways of the children’s center.  Upon your first visit, an approved worker will escort you and your child to their classroom. After your initial visit, an approved worker will take your child to their classroom.  This helps our children transition well, in addition to keeping our hallways clear.
